01Agreement and scope
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Argmax’s websites, applications, beta tools, and related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, joining the beta, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
If you use Argmax for a company, channel, team, or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf. “You” then includes that organisation.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
02Beta access
Argmax is currently offered as a private beta. Registration is a request for access, not a guarantee that an account will be approved. We may approve, limit, pause, or withdraw beta access at our discretion.
The current beta is free. Argmax does not request payment-card details or charge a subscription through this website. See the Refund Policy for the current billing position and the safeguards required before any paid plan is introduced.
Beta features may be incomplete, change without notice, contain errors, or behave differently from future releases. You should keep independent copies of important content and verify every output before publishing it.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms.
03Accounts and connected platforms
You must provide accurate information, keep your account credentials secure, and promptly tell us if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.
If you connect Twitch, Google, YouTube, or another platform, you authorise Argmax to access and act on the connected account only to the extent you select and the platform permits. You must have authority to connect each account, channel, or workspace.
You can remove a connection through the available account controls or by contacting us. Disconnecting a platform may prevent related features from working.
04Your content
You retain ownership of the video, audio, chat, captions, images, titles, descriptions, tags, and other material you submit, import, or direct Argmax to process (“Your Content”).
You grant Argmax a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, process, modify, format, transmit, and distribute Your Content only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Service or follow your publishing instructions. This licence ends when the content is deleted from our systems, except where limited retention is technically or legally necessary.
You confirm that you have all rights, licences, permissions, and consents needed for Your Content, including music, third-party footage, personal data, likenesses, and chat messages. You remain responsible for Your Content and where you choose to publish it.
05Processing and automation
Argmax may trim footage, remove countdowns, add media or metadata, create captions, identify possible highlights, and prepare or publish content according to your settings. Some results may be generated or suggested by automated systems.
Automated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your audience. You are responsible for reviewing titles, descriptions, captions, edits, suggested clips, and destination settings before relying on or publishing them.
You control the final publish decision. Do not use Argmax as the only copy of your source media.
06Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to:
- break the law, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, or violate another platform’s rules;
- upload malware, attempt unauthorised access, probe security, evade limits, or disrupt the Service;
- publish deceptive, fraudulent, abusive, exploitative, or unlawful content;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your authority over a channel or account;
- reverse engineer, resell, scrape, or use the Service to build a competing product except where applicable law expressly allows it; or
- use automated outputs without the review reasonably required for the context.
07Third-party services
The Service interoperates with third-party platforms such as Twitch, Google, and YouTube. Their services are governed by their own terms and policies, and Argmax does not control their availability, moderation, API limits, or account decisions.
You remain responsible for complying with the rules of every connected platform. Argmax is not responsible for a third party suspending an account, rejecting an upload, changing an integration, or limiting access to its service.
08Availability and changes
We may add, remove, or change features and integrations during the beta. We may also impose reasonable technical limits, perform maintenance, or interrupt access to protect users, platforms, or the Service.
We do not promise that the Service will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every format, channel, platform, or workflow.
09Argmax ownership and feedback
Argmax and its licensors own the Service, including its software, interface, branding, workflows, and documentation. These Terms do not give you ownership of the Service or permission to use Argmax’s marks except as necessary to use the Service.
If you share ideas or feedback, you allow us to use them without restriction or payment. This does not transfer ownership of Your Content.
10Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, create risk or harm, fail to comply with platform requirements, or if we discontinue the beta.
Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice and an opportunity to export or remove content. We may act immediately when needed for security, legal compliance, or protection of others.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, liability, and dispute provisions—will continue to apply.
11Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Argmax disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, remedies, or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Argmax will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, content, or business opportunity arising from use of the Service.
Argmax is not responsible for actions you authorise on connected platforms, content decisions you make, or failures caused by third-party services. These limitations do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable.
13Applicable law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the law that applies to Argmax’s operation of the Service, without overriding any mandatory protections available to you under the law of your country of residence.
Before starting formal proceedings, you and Argmax agree to make a reasonable attempt to resolve the issue by contacting one another. Nothing in this section limits a consumer’s right to use the courts or dispute procedures available under mandatory law.
14Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the beta and the law evolve. We will post the revised version and update the date above. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice where reasonably possible.
Your continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept them. If you do not agree, you should stop using the Service.
